Room 6: Mrs. Vicky Drewe

Kia Ora!

My name is Vicky Drewe and I am currently the teacher of Years 4,5 and 6. I was born in England and made the move to New Zealand almost 10 years ago. I’ve been teaching for 15 years, and have gained a wide range of experience, teaching Year 2 through to Year 7. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and I feel very humbled to take part in such an important part of their learning journey.

Being a huge Harry Potter fan, this quote certainly rings true for me: “Working hard is important. But there is something that matters even more: Believing in yourself”. I aim to make learning fun, challenging and a place where making mistakes are welcomed and seen as an opportunity to grow.

I am Mum to two very busy boys, Albert (8) and Stanley (4). We enjoy the outdoors and spend lots of family time biking, walking, swimming and playing with our beloved pets, Betty; our dog and Grunter and Elsa; our kune kune pigs.

I look forward to getting to know my Room 6 tamariki: working together, failing together, learning together and above all; having fun together!

Nga mihi, Vicky
